I participate in the BlueCross BlueShield PPO Network only. I do not participate in the BlueCross BlueShield HMO network (BlueChoice).
In addition, if you have another PPO Policy (Cigna, United Behavioral Health, Aetna, Mamsi, etc.), a significant portion of my fees are typically covered. If you prefer, I can work with you to file your claims.
To find out more information about your particular policy, please check with your insurance provider regarding your “outpatient mental health benefits.” Specific questions to ask are the following:
1) Do I need preauthorization before the initial meeting or at any time during treatment? If so, how do I go about obtaining such preauthorization?
2) What is my copay or coinsurance (amount you pay per session)?
3) Do I have a deductible (an amount you pay before insurance begins reimbursements)?
4) Are there any limits to the number of therapy sessions per year? If so, what are the limits?
